Report from Mozambique January 26, 2006 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ who are carrying us in prayer, as carry you in our prayers you are always an encouragement to us and we thank the Lord for you!! 1 Praise report We thank the Lord for a blessed 6-week visit with Martha and Desi Jakab from Canada. Please pray that the various revival meetings that we held in Nhaminga, Gondola, Chupanga, Marromeo, Gorongosa and Dondo will bear fruit as God’s precious people were encouraged and discipled for a closer ‘walk and relationship with Jesus in teachings with pastor Desi and pastor Rego.2. Thanksgiving for fast advances in getting our A.C.P.O School for the Deaf registered as an extension of the only school for the deaf in Beira. Please pray for wisdom and good working relationships for the A.C.P.O. staff, pastor Rego, Claudia, and myself together with the Public Schools, Social Services and the director of the School for the Deaf in Beira, in developing an effective school for the deaf 3. The schools will be opening 1st of February Mozambique is in a new phase of providing a basic education to as many children as possible. This is good but the schools are way overcrowded so that all classrooms are overcrowded and many held outdoors, children sitting under a tree in the dirt with a notebook and pencil It’s better than nothing. Please pray for the children arid teachers. Please pray for our many orphans who will be attending school. Please pray for finances for school supplies, uniforms and schoolbooks. 4. Mozambique has been hit by more Flooding in the center and south of the country. The flooding is not as severe as the previous, but yet there has been much damage to the fields and many are homeless Because of previous draughts there is great hunger in the land and people are dying from hunger. One of our pastors from Villa Nova, Mutterer said all they have to eat there now is the root of a water plant, but it is dangerous to get because of the crocodiles. Please pray with us for this suffering in the land. Please pray for A.C.P.O. and the Red Cross who together with the government and World Bank will be doing some food distribution in Marromeo and other districts. Please pray for our working together in these catastrophes Please pray for financial help so that we can help our hundreds of churches, orphans, also in Malawi, in this hour of great need. Thank you and May God Bless as you intercede for us. Together we trust our heavenly Father.
