THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE
WAS WRITTEN IN JULY1998 DURING OUR PASTORATE IN ROCK CREEK, B.C. ENTITLED:
‘THE RHEMA OF GOD’ – which is hearing the voice of God, and obeying the
commandments which He gives us in our every day walk with Him.

In October 1997, I
was invited to go to a ministers’ conference in Alberta. I got there a couple
of days late. On Wednesday evening during the worship and praise – my first
meeting, suddenly the voice of the Lord spoke the following words to me:
“There is a GREAT SHAKING COMING but out of the great shaking will come a
GREAT HARVEST.”
The
word at first seemed very strange to me, but when I looked into the Word of
God, I found the following: Haggai 2:6-9 “For thus says the Lord of hosts;
yet it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the
sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations (denominations also), AND
THE DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS SHALL COME: AND I WILL FILL THIS HOUSE WITH GLORY,
SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS.” (Note: He is the Lord of Hosts, for
“The Lord gave the word and great was the company of those that published
it” – those who are used by God to bring the fulfillment of the same!
Ps.68:12) Also note, “He will shake the heavens (all who are seated with
Christ in heavenly places); the earth – all of the earth – God’s people “Let
Your will be done in earth (us), even as it is in heaven”. When God
shakes everything out of our lives that are not from Him, and shakes His
heavens into the lives of His People, What Glory, What Power, What Worship and
Praise will be in that day, as Joel’s Army marches across the face of the
whole earth in demonstration of “The Kingdom Of Heaven Is At Hand”!
A
further Rhema (voice of God speaking) given in February of 1998 went on to say
“The great shaking is designed to remove all hindrances in our lives, that
hinder not only our flow or walk in Him but hinders the flow of His Power
through us.” The great shaking is not designed to destroy us as many would
think, but it is designed to destroy and to remove all hindrances from our
lives!
God will use all
kinds of circumstances! The shaking of the sea (symbolic of all nations): as
well as the natural disasters taking place in the oceans of the earth. The dry
land (symbolic of the wicked and the ungodly) and the natural world as well!
God is very
concerned with the heart condition of His People in the day and hour we live
in, and the trials and testing in life are designed to make us strong, and His
life real and alive in us! Haggai2:8-9 “The silver is mine, and the Gold is
mine says the Lord of Hosts.” Silver is symbolic of Redemption; while the
Gold is symbolic of the Deity, the Love, Life and Nature of God. The Rule of
God, the Glory of God shall be in Mt. Zion (His people’s lives). “They
overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, the Word of their testimony, and they
loved not their lives unto death (the crucified life of the believer)! I
firmly believe that the death of the cross, and being crucified with Christ is
an absolute must. We need to experience that in our lives daily. We also
need to have a testimony, by the Word becoming flesh in us, and where it is
written on the fleshly tables of our hearts: being made a true witness of
Jesus (by our life and example) and the gospel of God’s Kingdom to the world
around us. (Mount Zion is – LIFE IN THE SPIRIT!)
Hag.2:9 “The
glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, says the
Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts.”
Let all the Jews and all the nations hear the word of the Lord: WITHOUT THE
PRINCE OF PEACE, JESUS THE MESSIAH, THERE IS NO PEACE WHATSOEVER, NONE!
Revelation 14:14-16 talks about the Great Harvest of the Earth that is
coming before the Great Wrath of God – Rev. 14:18-20.
HOW WILL THIS
GREAT HARVEST BE BROUGHT IN? ONLY BY THE RHEMA OF GOD!
See John 21:3-6.
Jesus in the Gospels said, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.”
The Commandments He is talking about to us today is the Word living in us and
us hearing His voice and doing everything He tells us! Following His Rhema -
and that is His spoken word to us, and walking in obedience to His voice!
“My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me” (Jesus the Anointed One) John
10:3-4! The commandment Jesus gave to the disciples in the gospel of John 15
was to abide in Him, and that we all need to be found in Him, at all times.
Apart from Him we can do nothing, and only by abiding in Him DO WE HAVE THE
ABILITY NOT ONLY TO HEAR HIS VOICE, but also to OBEY IT! (By Grace we are
saved: and it is not of our own selves. Everything, we receive from God -
including the ability to hear and to obey - is all given by the Grace of God.)
God has promised to RESTORE ZION IN OUR DAY! Zion represents the Glory of God
being restored into the life of His people, “The Bride has made herself
ready”, and in all that it also includes the restoration of the nation of
Israel being grafted back into once again to becoming the true Olive Tree that
God the Father has intended her to be.
Habakkuk 1:5 tells
us very clearly and powerfully, “I will do such a work in your days - says the
Lord, that even if it is told you – you will not be able to believe it.” I
find that so interesting, that without the power of the Holy Spirit operating
in our lives there will be such a deception in the world – because of the sin
and the corruption in them: that many will not be able to believe all that the
Lord has promised to those who love Him and love His appearing. “To as many as
look for Him shall He appear the second time, without sin unto salvation”
(Hebrews 9:28). It is those who overcome every hindrance and every sin -
through the power of the cross and the crucified life and the power of the
living God working in their lives: they shall “Rule and Reign with Him a
thousand years!”
God is faithful
unto His Word, and “His Word that goes forth from His mouth shall not return
unto Him void, but it will accomplish everything that He said He was going to
do”
